Is it possible to identify specific contributions from churches to climate adaption. This article argues that the contribution of churches is visible in several venues, but has a special character related to hope and identity. It is a contribution that gains impetus through a global perspective, because it allows for a participatory etos, which not only focuses on activity, but in special manner comes to the fore where churches allow themselves to the transformed in light of the community of creation and the presence of Christ incarnated.
